Harold Leibowitz: Life&Times

Here is a tribute to a wonderful jazz musician - born in 1924 and still releasing independent cd's right up until the day he passed away in May, 2006. He has written his own biography in his music.

Harold began composing in the 1940's. He was published for the first time when a song of his was broadcast on a radio program featuring the music of service men serving in WWII.

He has always expressed in the 1940's/1950's jazz style - a genre which has now become popular again with the new lounge culture of the present day.

It's all here in the tunes - his great talent as a pianist, his New York moods, his love for his life long partner Tony, and his perception of the past, present and future of love and beauty ... "Frozen in Time".

So enjoy these jazz tunes by a great American composer - and come back often - listen as much as you like.
